Yes — the Membership and the service itself are completely free, though spots are limited.
A Design Organisation Approval (DOA) covers the engineering side — creating and certifying a modification design under EASA Part 21J. A Production Organisation Approval (POA) covers manufacturing the certified parts under EASA Part 21G. Most modifications need both, and our network includes partners approved for either or both.
It depends on your request. If you need a new design, an STC, or an engineering change, you need a Part 21J Design Organisation. If you need certified parts produced to an already-approved design, you need a Part 21G Production Organisation. Tell us what you need and we’ll route your request to the right type of partner — often both.
Under EASA Part 21, a minor modification is a change with no appreciable effect on airworthiness — weight, balance, structural strength, reliability, or operational characteristics. It typically qualifies for a simplified approval process. If you’re unsure whether your request is minor or major, send us the details and we’ll clarify before requesting quotes.
